This past Sewing Summit was filled with lots of fun, new faces, wonderful classes, inspiration, and non-stop sewing, of course! It took place in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Little America hotel from September 19-21, 2013. Coats and Clark was proud to be the official thread sponsor this year.
We also launched our instagram account that same weekend.
You can find us @coatsandclark, and we would love to see your sewing projects, just use hashtag: #coatsandclark.
We have a number of new threads coming soon. Included are our Paper Piecing thread, and our Bold Hand Quilting thread.
Check out our Paper Piecing thread in action. It was used here to baste and stitch some “hexies.” (project by Rach H at Family Ever After).
So what is Sewing Summit all about? It’s a “modern sewing and blogging conference,” attracting sewing bloggers from all over the world to meet together in real life. There is a variety of classes offered, from hands-on quilting and apparel classes, and business classes ranging from topics like publishing classes, social media, working with brands, and HTML. You definitely don’t need to have a blog to attend Sewing Summit, nor do you need to be an expert seamstress. Knowledge of both is fun, but truly anyone can come to the Sewing Summit and have a great time! Here are some pictures of the classes and attendees in action:

We are so happy that Sewing Summit was such a success this year. Congrats to all the teachers and attendees who finished up their projects! We love that there are so many inspiring women who love to share their talents via blogging. Thanks to Rachel Howard for her “on the scene” report. See more about her adventures at Familyeverafter.com
