Introducing .. Eclectic Elements fabric by Tim Holtz

Much like the name of our blog, Sewing Secrets, we do have a secret that we have been keeping for quite some time. We are more than excited to share with you a new adventure for Coats, one that promises to take you on a journey with your sewing, quilting and crafting. So, if you are ready . . . drum roll please!

Tim Holtz

Coats is introducing fabric! We wanted you to be one of the first to know that we will be premiering, for the first time at the International Quilt Market in Portland, OR, May 17 – 19, 2013, a new line of designer fabrics.

You heard it here first! We have enlisted renowned paper crafter Tim Holtz® to design the first collection of 100% quilting cottons and other products like fat quarters, charm packs and more, all to be in your favorite sewing, quilting and crafting stores soon. Plus, we will also be developing Fabric Crafting Packs to perfectly complement Tim’s unique die-cutting and embossing products.

Tim’s new fabric brand, Eclectic Elements

The fabric’s feature a nostalgic mix of media from the past including the industrial look of antique letter press; old luggage labels evoking the golden age of travel; sepia toned newsprint, handwritten journal entries and passport pages; clock faces and transit signs; aged woven wooden tape measures and more.

Tim will be in our booth (2355) at Quilt Market sharing his vision of fabric and crafting. If you are there please stop by and visit Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 from 9:30 am – 12 noon and 3 pm – 5 pm.

The journey is just beginning. Watch for more inspirational sewing, quilting and crafting ideas using Tim’s new fabrics and a whole host of craft materials including Phoomph,  fabric, thread, zippers and more.

“They say that every possibility begins with the courage to imagine, and seeing my designs come to life as fabric is beyond my imagination,” says Tim.
